Conveyancing Fee Earner

What does your day look like?: As a conveyancing fee earner, my day is typically structured around managing property transactions from start to finish. This involves liaising with clients, solicitors, and estate agents to ensure that all legal documentation is in order. I spend a lot of time reviewing contracts, conducting property searches, and providing clients with clear advice on the conveyancing process. As I continue my studies towards becoming a CILEX Lawyer, my day is also balanced with study sessions, reading legal materials, and working on assignments to further my legal knowledge.
What is your favourite career highlight/moment so far?: One of my proudest moments in my career so far was successfully guiding an expecting first-time buyer through their property purchase. The transaction was more complicated than usual due to a very tight deadline and some unexpected challenges, but I was able to navigate these issues and get everything completed on time. Seeing the joy and relief on my client's face when they finally got the keys to their new home was incredibly rewarding and reminded me of why I love what I do.
Fun fact about yourself?: I have a dog and a tortoise at home but the real surprise is that my dog is terrified of the tortoise if he moves too quickly! They're an unlikely duo, but it always makes for some entertaining moments around the house.
What you like doing away from work?: When I'm not working, I love spending time in the great outdoors. I'm an avid camper and hiker, and the summer months are my favourite time to explore new trails and camp in scenic locations.
